That must be a setup for something but who knows what. With only 1 book after the next one I assume this next book will sort the full black tower situation. I liken it to a popular character on TV suddenly being played by another actor. Like changing Edward James Olmos half way through the BSG series. It wouldn't work. I'm also hoping that we see a lot of Mat and Perrin in the next book. Especially that damn Tower. Amit and I will have a thorough discussion in the near future and it will definitely mention Rand's TP moment Chris so watch out for it. Seems that most peeps had some issue or the other with Mat.

Mat's character was definitely a bit off but I didn't mind. Considering the writer died we're lucky to get anything out that can hold a candle to the series. However the full scene with mat plotting out characters for everyone was just shit. I wonder will rand be able to use the true power in future for good or will it just become too addictive and whatnot. I assume he can access it through his link to moridin? Kind of a handy link to have really. Gawyn finally looks slightly better but he's not a hot headed asshole. At least it's better than a sitting in a village asshole. I wonder will the next book backtrack and show more mat and perin and leave the egwene rand stories to one side. For the most part I agree with your review. Here are my thoughts in relation to what you wrote: • Mat wasn’t perfect but I still really enjoyed his humor – he was more laugh-out-loud funny that he should have been, but I WAS laughing out loud so that’s good. • Speaking of Mat, his Adventures in Zombieland was a bit, um, odd, to say the least. • I didn’t really enjoy the prologue or ch 1 but ch 2 was amazing. • Poor Hurin. I was so excited to see him again too. :( • Tuon’s new name is HORRIBLE.
